A group of researcher will visit the upper peninsula on July to find the truth on Big Foot, a man-like creature with hair all over its body. (also Known as Sasquatch).

The researcher is looking to find the new evidence that could prove the existence of big foot. They are hoping to find locals who have ever seen Big Foot before. Most experts think Big Foot is only a legend or a folklore or even a hoax. But there is a number of people who think that Big foot really exist.

Among all U.P. counties, Marquette County has logged the most reported Bigfoot sightings with four, Moneymaker said. Bigfoot encounters also have been reported in Ontonagon, Baraga, Dickinson, Luce and Schoolcraft counties.

Dr. Grover Krantz, a scientist specializing in cryptozoology, believes Bigfoot is a "gigantopithecus," a branch of primitive man believed to have existed 3 million years ago.
Mainstream scientists, however, do not believe or dismiss the study of pseudoscience.
